Cucumber astringent

As promised, thanks to a bountiful cucumber harvest, here is the first way I used my blended up cucumbers....

Mix them with... NOTHING.  That's right.  You can make a great astringent for your face simply by applying this mixture and leaving it sit for a couple minutes.  Rinse off with cool water.  Ta-Da!

What's an astringent?  Astringents are used to constrict or shrink body tissues.  They are good for people with oily skin and provide relief from minor skin irritations.  They help make the skin soft and supple while cleaning and refreshing.  Concerned about pore size?  Give this a try and let me know how it works for you in the comments below.

Obviously, if you are allergic to cucumbers or have sensitive skin, skip this one or do an allergy patch test first!
